WWE Opinion: WrestleMania 32 Predictions

WrestleMania 32 Logo

Back at the beginning of January, we bought you the possibilities for WrestleMania 32 in a combination of what we’d like to happen. Now, following the events of the Royal Rumble it is rapidly becoming clear the direction the WWE are heading in. With the announcement of the forthcoming Fastlane main event, it has become even clearer. So here we go with the early

WrestleMania 32 Predictions…

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match – Triple H (Champion) defending against Roman Reigns

In my earlier post, I did foresee this match as it made logical sense but I found it difficult to justify it. I am still struggling to justify Triple H being in this match, but given how he is now the WWE World Heavyweight Champion it is pretty much a foregone conclusion. With Roman Reigns more than likely set to win the main event of Fastlane, because WWE programming is that predictable, this is pretty much set in stone. If we’ve got to take this, then so be it but ideally spice it up a little bit. I’d like to see a double finish to the Fastlane main event, and throw Dean Ambrose into the mix. Triple Threat Main Event at WrestleMania anyone?

Chris Jericho versus Dean Ambrose

This match was first teased between the two men back at Night of Champions in September, and would logically be for the WWE Intercontinental Championship and then again at the Royal Rumble. It would be an absolutely cracking match, truly worth our £/$/€ 9.99. But, as you know I am massively against part-timers in headlining positions at WrestleMania (and I have nothing against Jericho, I promise). So if this was to happen, the title would need to be off Ambrose. But maybe then, the possibility of the winner being entered into the main event. It would give both matches an extra dynamic.

Brock Lesnar versus Bray Wyatt and/or The Wyatt Family

Again, given the outcomes on RAW last week and the Royal Rumble this is another one which seems pretty much set in stone. But, I am not sure the path on which it should go down. A one on one match would be okay, but a handicap match makes it much more interesting with The Wyatt Family costing Lesnar his championship opportunity at Fastlane. This could certainly be an interesting one to watch, and a promo with Bray Wyatt and Paul Heyman would be absolutely epic.

Stardust versus Stephen Amell

These to two infamously collided in a tag team contest at SummerSlam last year, and has recently being teased across various sources. The latest is Amell issuing a Rap Challenge to Stardust;

In the match last year, Amell was very impressive and his feud with Stardust was almost left open ended. This seems the perfect time to draw their feud to a close. With the gimmick of Stardust heavily rumored to be coming to an end, the feud with Amell seems the perfect way to finish it with a stipulation infused match. It could be really be beneficial for Cody to loose the gimmick, as Cody he has a greater chance of being taken seriously as an upper card or even main event status. Seriously, watch this space!

Now, these are the ones I am pretty much adamant on given how the past week has gone. I have some sneaky suspicions on other stuff we may see and am curious as to what they will do with others. For instance, I’d pay particular attention to the dynamic of Nattie and Paige together. Given how under-utilized Nattie has being, why the sudden change in direction. Another one to watch out for is AJ Styles. Whilst he may have only just debuted, he would be wasted if he isn’t used at WrestleMania 32. Therefore, watch the next couple of weeks to see the direction he is taken in.

What do you think of the latest WrestleMania 32 Predictions…is the card pretty much a foregone conclusion or is there anything else obvious which has sailed over our heads…we’d love to know what you think!

  1. Elaborating on the Jericho vs. Ambrose prediction, that would be a cool match but I could also see Ambrose getting thrown into the main event mix with Reigns and Triple H somehow as you posted here. The reason why the finish to AJ Styles vs. Y2J on Raw seemed awkward this week is most likely due to the fact that they improvised it. I’m almost certain that we were meant to see a Styles Clash there but the roll up finish was done as a way to leave the fans wanting to see more of Jericho vs. AJ. It’s possible that could be the direction at Mania.

    Also, regarding the Lesnar vs. Wyatt match, the singles match is most likely going to be the way to go and The Undertaker is going to face Braun Strowman. I hate the idea as much as the next fan and think they should just throw Taker, Kane, Lesnar, and Big Show together against the Wyatt Family. The multi-man match would be a way to hide the big men’s weaknesses (mainly Strowman) and save the Wyatt vs. Lesnar singles match for a later pay per view.

    Stardust vs. Amell is likely to happen too and I’d also like to see the Stardust gimmick end at Mania but I don’t think it will be part of the stipulation. I don’t think it needs to be. Amell wins clean over Stardust and Stardust gives him respect after the match and shakes his hand to turn babyface. He sheds the Stardust gear the night after on Raw and we see a babyface Cody Rhodes.
