SummerSlam PPV

SummerSlam is the fourth longest annual Pay Per View event produced by the WWE. The first summer spectacular took place in 1988, with the Mega Powers teaming up. In its near 30 year’s SummerSlam has provided a mid year break and a key focal point in the WWE calender. Several high profile superstars have established themselves in high victories; Brock Lesnar in 2002, Randy Orton in 2004 and Daniel Bryan more recently in 2013.

Dubbed as “The Biggest Event of the Summer”, SummerSlam is one of the original “Big Four” pay-per-view events of WWE (along with WrestleMania, Royal Rumble and Survivor Series). Although the Royal Rumble generally attracts a larger viewership, SummerSlam has been touted by WWE as their second biggest event of the year after WrestleMania.
