Wrestlemania X8 saw the beginning of the shift from the Attitude Era to the Ruthless Aggression era in WWE. The highlight of the show was watching The Rock face Hulk Hogan in an Icon vs Icon match which brought the entire Skydome to their feet. Chris Jericho defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against a returning Triple H in the main event.

On the undercard, the hardcore title match lasted the majority of the match, even Might Molly won the belt! William Regal defended the Intercontinental championship against the ever popular Rob Van Dam. Undertaker went 10 and 0 at Wrestlemania in an intense battle with Ric Flair. After refusing to face the Hulkster, Stone Cold faced Scott Hall. For the first time at Wrestlemania, the theme songs were performed live by both Drowning Pool and Saliva. The bands also performed Triple H and The Dudley Boyz to the ring with songs found on the Forceable Entry CD.
