Bigger! Better! Badder!
Date: March 29 1987 | Attendance: 93,173 | Venue: Pontiac Silverdome | City: Pontiac, Michigan
Theme Song: “Who’s Zoomin’ Who” by Aretha Franklin
WrestleMania 3 saw the WWE break the indoor attendance record at the time and hold onto that figure for 29 years until they broke it at WrestleMania 32. The Pontiac Silverdome is infamous for Hulk Hogan body slamming Andre The Giant; however wrestling purists remember the show for the incredible Intercontinental Championship match, between Randy Savage and Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat which ultimately stole the show and helped influence many superstars including Chris Jericho to take up wrestling.
