SummerSlam 2002 was the fifteenth annual SummerSlam wrestling PPV event produced by WWE. It took place on August 25, 2002 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. The main event saw new star Brock Lesnar become the youngest WWE champion in history by beating the Rock. Post SummerSlam, The Rock returned to Hollywood to film. The secondary main event saw Shawn Michaels wrestled his first match since WrestleMania XIV, facing Triple H in an unsanctioned street fight.
