King of the Ring 1998

Off With Their Heads!

| Date: June 28 1998 | Venue: Civic Arena | City: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania |Attendance: 17,087

The 1998 King Of The Ring is infamous for one match. That Hell In A Cell match where Mick Foley voluntary allowed Undertaker to launch him off the top of the cage. Despite falling 16 feet, Foley continued the match earning an insane amount of respect. Nothing has topped that moment in Hell In A Cell history.

In the WWE Title match, Stone Cold Steve Austin faced Kane in a first blood match. If Kane lost he would set himself on fire. The Rock and Ken Shamrock faced off in the finals of the King Of The Ring tournament. Shamrock would become the first King Of The Ring winner since Mabel in 1995 not to win the WWE Championship.
