Breaking News: The Rock at WrestleMania?

It is that time of the year, when all the bookies get together for WrestleMania possibilities. With WrestleMania 34 only 10 days away, the time is no better than before. The latest concerns the annual rumours of The Rock at WrestleMania. The news was broke by CBSNews.com, where it was revealed there is currently a 99% chance of him appearing on the event. In a more bizarre twist, there is a 25-1 chance of him competing on the show itself. George Elek from Oddschecker went onto say:

“The Rock is still one of the WWE’s biggest names and an appearance from the Great One would spike interest and generate huge publicity for Vince McMahon’s business. The bookies believe he is almost certain to appear once again at The Showcase of the Immortals and 1/100 implies a 99 percent chance that we will see The People’s Champion inside the Squared Circle.”

Unfortunately, this has not guaranteed an appearance from The Rock at WrestleMania himself. However, it does certainly imply that he will. Bare in mind, out of the last seven WrestleMania’s – The Rock appeared at six of them. The only one he didn’t appear at was WrestleMania 33. He has competed at 3 of his 6 appearances. But given the events of WrestleMania 31, an appearance would certainly make sense.

Back on that night, The Rock appeared in a segment with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. This ultimately lead to the first appearance of Rhonda Rousey, where they took out Triple H and Steph. With the events of this being referenced to in preparation for Kurt Angle and Rhonda Rousey vs. Triple H and Steph, an appearance from The Rock would make sense. But he should only appear if something can be gained from this. Rhonda needs to go over clean in this match, otherwise the image she has built up will be tainted. The Rock aiding would not contribute anything.
