WWE SmackDown Live Preview 20/03/18 – Unholy Alliance

In a piece of news which took everyone by surprise, the SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan has being cleared to return to the ring. And boy what an impact he made, especially when he came across Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. With less than three weeks until WrestleMania 34, Shinsuke Nakamura is on course to have a cracking first year on the SmackDown Live roster. But in order to succeed in getting to WrestleMania, is he going to have to trust his opponent – the WWE Champion AJ Styles? The Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka is now on course to face off against The Queen, Charlotte Flair within the hallows of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. But what will it mean for the ladies of the SmackDown Live roster? This weeks edition of SmackDown Live came from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Here is the WWE SmackDown Live Results 20/03/18…

– Opening the show, Daniel Bryan revealed how much it meant to him that he had being cleared to return to the ring. He went onto thank the fans and his family, but he didn’t know yet when he would be back in action. He then look up at the WrestleMania sign, which lead to a massive “YES” chant braking out, before leaving.

2. Baron Corbin defeated Tye Dillinger

3. Non-Title Match: Natalya defeated Charlotte Flair.

– During the match, Carmella attempted to cash in her Money in the Bank contract. However, Charlotte nailed her with a big boot which allowed Natalya to take advantage of the distraction to roll up Flair for the pinfall victory.

– The Usos came to the ring and cut a promo about how the Bludgeon Brothers changed the mix, but they would not be denied their chance at a WrestleMania moment.

4. Harper defeated Jimmy Uso

– Jinder Mahal talked about being disrespected by Smackdown Live. Bobby Roode entered and promised to win back his WWE United States Championship at WrestleMania. Randy Orton entered and said Mahal is nothing without Sunil Singh. Mahal fled while Orton attacked Singh. Orton hit the rope-hung DDT on Singh, then Roode hit the Glorious DDT. Roode tried to DDT Orton, Orton tried to hit the RKO on Roode, and it ended in a stalemate.

5. Becky Lynch and Naomi defeated Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan

– Daniel Bryan returned to the ring and brought out Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Zayn and Owens congratulated Bryan for getting cleared and thanked him for supporting them. Bryan then showed footage of their attack on Shane McMahon last week, and they laughed. Bryan said what they did was unacceptable and pointed out that they attacked McMahon after they’d already won the war. He then fired them both, as they then attacked him. Bryan was able to fire back with some signature moves, before Zayn hit a Helluva Kick. Owens then nailed the powerbomb onto the ring apron, before Bryan was stretchered out.
