When you thought Pete Dunnes Raw debut was big enough, WWE treated fans in Manchester this evening during WWE SmackDown Live tapings… The long reign of Jinder Mahal is no more and welcome to AJ Styles second title run.

AJ Styles was due to face Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship in Manchesters taping’s for SmackDown. In a huge shocking decision, AJ Styles has won the WWE Championship. This marks the first time in the companies history that the WWE Championship has changed hands outside of North America.

WWE.com have confirmed this by posting the following on their website.

AJ Styles defeated Jinder Mahal to capture the WWE Championship at SmackDown LIVE in Manchester, U.K., WWE.com can confirm.

This marks The Phenomenal One’s second reign as WWE Champion, and it is also the first time in history that the WWE Championship has changed hands outside of North America.
