WWE Money In The Bank 2017 Results – Who Is Money In The Bank?

Last night, Smackdown held it’s latest WWE PPV event; WWE Money In The Bank 2017. At the event, Jinder Mahal saw his first title defence against home town hero Randy Orton. Six men battled it out to become Mr Money In The Bank. Whilst five women made history competing in the first ever women’s Money In The Bank ladder match.

Natalya vs Becky Lynch vs Tamina vs Charlotte vs Carmella (w James Elsworth)

James Elsworth climbed the ladder, secured the briefcase and dropped it down to Carmella for the win. Rules states the first person to grab the briefcase.

Winner: Carmella

WWE Smackdown Tag Team Titles

The New Day vs The Usos (C)

The Uso’s kept their titles via countout loss.

Winners: The New Day via Countout

WWE Smackdown Womens Championship

Lana vs Naomi (C)

As Lana looked on to victory the new Money In The Bank, Carmella came to the ring and teased a cash in. Naomi picked up the win.

Winner: Naomi

Shockingly, Maria and Mike Kanellis made their Smackdown Live debuts

WWE Championship

Jinder Mahal (C) vs Randy Orton

Jinder dominated most of the match focusing on Randy Ortons knee. The Singh Brothers prevented an RKO victory and were ejected from ringside. Instead they mocked the legends at ringside and put their hands on Bob Orton. Randy Orton destroyed the Singh Brothers. Jinder took advantage to retain.

Winner: Jinder Mahal

Breezango vs The Ascension

Short and sweet match, with Fandango winny via a roll up

Winner: Breezango

Mens Money In The Bank Ladder Match

Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler, AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Baron Corbin & Sami Zayn

Baron Corbin attacked Shinsuke on his way to the ring, leaving 5 men to battle it out. Several high spots including AJ Style hanging onto the briefcase and falling to the floor. Near the end Shinsuke returned stopping Corbin from climbing the ladder. Leaving a showdown between AJ Styles and Nakamura. Corbin threw both men off the top of the ladder, climbed and secured the briefcase.

Winner: Baron Corbin.
