WWE Monday Night RAW Results 01/05/17 – Aftermath!!!

24 hours ago, the stars of WWE RAW came together for WWE Payback. Braun Strowman proved he is the Monster Amongst Men when he decimated Roman Reigns. But what is next for Strowman on WWE RAW – or should it be who is next? How will Bayley cope with her loss of the WWE RAW Women’s Championship to Alexa Bliss? What will Samoa Joe do following his surprising loss to Seth Rollins? And how will The Hardy Boyz deal with the attack suffered at the hands of Cesaro and Sheamus? This weeks edition of RAW came from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. Here is the WWE RAW Results 01/05/17…

— The show opened with the Coronation Ceremony of Alexa Bliss as RAW Women’s Champion with the entire RAW roster. Bliss went around the ring to each of the ladies before turning to Bayley. She told her she was no longer a role model for her family, which led to a massive brawl breaking out amongst the women which lead to the first match of the night. 

1. Alexa Bliss, Emma, Nia Jax and Alicia Fox defeated Bayley, Sasha Banks, Mickie James and Dana Brooke

2. Luke Gallows defeated Enzo Amore

— Backstage, TJ Perkins questioned Neville about his dirty tactics. Neville blamed the referee, then told Perkins that if he defeats Aries tonight, he could be next in line for a Cruiserweight Championship opportunity.

— Seth Rollins called out Brock Lesnar for a Universal Championship match. He was interrupted by Finn Balor, who reminded Rollins that he never lost the Universal Championship, and he wanted a shot at Lesnar. They were interrupted by Dean Ambrose, who said he was looking for a fight. The Miz and Maryse came out and stated that Ambrose was an embarrassment as WWE Intercontinental Champion. All three men told The Miz to shut up before Ambrose called Kurt Angle from the ring and asked him to make amatch between Miz, Rollins and Balor to determine a new number contender for the Intercontinental Championship.

3. Rich Swann, Akira Tozawa and Jack Gallagher defeated Tony Nese, The Brian Kendrick and Noam Dar

— Sheamus and Cesaro came to the ring and blamed the Hardy Boyz for stealing their WrestleMania moment. The Hardy Boyz then showed up and stormed the ring, as Sheamus and Cesaro quickly fled.

4. Apollo Crews defeated Heath Slater

— Kurt Angle updated the WWE Universe on Roman Reigns’ health following his beatdown at the hands of Braun Strowman the night before. Angle said Reigns re-injured his ribs and suffered internal injuries; additionally, Strowman tore his rotator cuff. Angle was then interrupted by Bray Wyatt, who told Angle that he needs him, and asked him if he was going to walk by his side or stand in his way. Angle told Wyatt that it was his show, to which Wyatt responded that this was his world.

5. Austin Aries defeated TJP (aka TJ Perkins)

— Goldust and R-Truth asked Kurt Angle for a RAW Tag Team Championship opportunity. Angle said their win/loss record wasn’t good enough for a title match, but said he would put them into a tag team turmoil next week, with the winner becoming the new number one contenders.

6. Number One Contenders Triple Threat Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship:The Miz defeated Finn Balor and Seth Rollins

— The match ended when Bray Wyatt appeared and nailed Finn Balor with Sister Abigail. This allowed The Miz to pick up the victory.
