WWE SmackDown Live Results 25/04/17

Last week on SmackDown Live, Jinder Mahal became the Number One Contender for the WWE Championship at Backlash. Will Mahal be able to take advantage of a distracted Orton, fixated on his House of Horrors match with Bray Wyatt? This weeks edition of SmackDown Live came from the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa. Here is the WWE SmackDown Live Results 25/04/17…

— The show opened with Renee Young and Shinsuke Nakamura. They were quickly interrupted by Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler compared Nakamura to Michael Jackson. He said his name translated to petty, pathetic and overrated freak. Nakamura attacked Ziggler, who quickly fled the ring.

1. AJ Styles defeated Baron Corbin

Kevin Owens was on commentary, and attempted to get involved in the match but was stopped by AJ Styles. After the match, Owens and Corbin attacked Styles until Sami Zayn made the save. However, Zayn was soon beaten down by Owens.

2. Beat The Clock Match: American Alpha defeated The Colons

— Rusev made his first appearance on Smackdown Live, commenting that he didn’t like Daniel Bryan or Shane McMahon. He said the only way he would compete on SmackDown Live would be if he was given a championship match at Money In The Bank. If he didn’t get one, he would pack his bags and head back to Bulgaria.

— Backstage, Becky Lynch was asked about her feelings toward Charlotte. She was interrupted by Tamina, Natalya, Carmella and James Ellsworth. She was warned that she was either with them or against them.

3. No Disqualification Match: Randy Orton defeated Erick Rowan

— Afterwards, Orton said he did not know what a House Of Horrors match was, but that he would find out this Sunday. Before he could leave, Jinder Mahal came out and told him he was being overlooked and disrespected. He said Orton shouldn’t be worried about Bray Wyatt — he should be worried about him. The two then brawled, with Mahal gaining the advantage with the help of the Bollywood Boyz. Mahal left the ring with the WWE World Championship in hand, climbing into a limousine and driving away while hanging out of the sunroof whilst holding the title.

4. Beat The Clock Match: Breezango defeated the Ascension

— As a result of Breezango beating the time of American Alpha, they are now the new Number One Contenders for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

5. Smackdown Women’s Championship Match: Naomi (c) fought Charlotte Flair to a No-Contest

— The match came to an end when Tamina, Natalya and Carmella beat down both competitors.
