How the WrestleMania 33 Card Should Play Out

In the real world, there is common sense and then how the WWE think things should plan out. This will probably be reflected none more so than this Sunday at WrestleMania 33. It is the belief of WDD that every card should have a beginning, middle and an end. Here how we think the WrestleMania 33 card should play out…

1. Pre-Show: WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Neville (c) vs. Austin Aries

2. Pre-Show: Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Featuring The Big Show, Sami Zayn, Mojo Rawley, Apollo Crews and more

3. WWE Intercontinental Championship

Dean Ambrose vs. Baron Corbin

4. WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship

Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Becky Lynch vs. Mickie James vs. Natalya vs. Carmella vs. TBC

5. WWE RAW Tag Team Championship – Ladder Match

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson (c) vs. Cesaro and Sheamus vs. Enzo Amore and Big Cass

~ ~ ~

6. WWE United States Championship

Chris Jericho (c) vs. Kevin Owens

7. Singles Match

Shane McMahon vs. AJ Styles

8. WWE RAW Women’s Championship – Fatal-4-Way Elimination Match

Bayley (c) vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax

~ ~ ~

9. Singles Match

The Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns

~ ~ ~

10. Mixed Tag Team Match

John Cena and Nikki Bella vs. The Miz and Maryse

~ ~ ~

11. WWE Universal Championship

Goldberg (c) vs. Brock Lesnar (w/ Paul Heyman)

~ ~ ~

12. Non-Sanctioned Match

Seth Rollins vs. Triple H

13. WWE Championship

Bray Wyatt (c) vs. Randy Orton

~ ~ ~

Having the WrestleMania 33 card structured like this will achieve several things. The show will start off very strongly and immediately attract the attention of the fans with Dean Ambrose and Baron Corbin. It will then gradually build to the mid-point where the fans will be re-engaged with Shane McMahon and AJ Styles (on the basis it is a hardcore style match) plus the ladder match for the WWE RAW Tag Team Championship.

The show will then continue with main event matches following one another, with Brock Lesnar versus Goldberg not going on last. There is no way they should finish the show, because neither man will be around for the summer. This ultimately ensures Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton to go on last, because they will carry SmackDown Live through the summer. The faces of the company should be the lasting image as WrestleMania 33 draws to a close. Makes perfect sense when you think about it…
