Latest on WWE Draft 2017
As reported by Sportskeeda, there will be a WWE Draft 2017 at some point this summer. However, rather than the scale of what we saw last year, this years WWE Draft 2017 will be limited to a mere handful of exchanges. Representatives will be able to select superstars from the opposing show or from NXT. However, the champions from either show will not be available for selection. When the WWE Draft 2017 will take place in the summer remains to be seen at this point in time.
However, it can be rightly assumed that the WWE Draft 2017 will be heavily promoted on both shows in the lead up. The show has the potential to increase revenue for the WWE, and they will want to capitalize on this as such. But who should be drafted between the shows. The number one exchange from RAW should be Sami Zayn. He is currently lost on the RAW brand and is quickly becoming the jobber to the stars. With the likes of Dean Ambrose and AJ Styles to go up again, he could really have a fantastic opportunity on the SmackDown Live brand.
But who should be drafted from SmackDown Live? There has being much speculation that Vince McMahon wants to see AJ Styles on RAW. This would be a massive mistake because the options for him on RAW are quite limited. He is thriving and becoming the face of SmackDown Live. Leave him where he is. But who should go is an exceptionally difficult one. In honesty, both brands need a small influx of superstars to help establish the brands individually even more so. Both shows are crying out for headline talent, and they really need to act on this to carry them through to WrestleMania 34.
