Goldberg on Current WWE Run

Goldberg on Current WWE Run

Bill Goldberg returned to the WWE at the end of 2016, when he became embroiled in a bitter feud with Brock Lesnar. This was the same man who his last match had being with in March 2004 at WrestleMania 20. Since his return, he has completely tore through Lesnar on numerous occasions and has become the reigning WWE Universal Champion. But this Sunday at WrestleMania 33, he will defend the championship for the first time against his longtime adversary Brock Lesnar. In a recent appearance on E&C’s Podcast of Awesomeness, hear what was said from Goldberg on current WWE run. What he has to say, may surprise you…

“I’ll be honest, I’m absolutely miserable. But my family’s having fun. And so, every single thing, every training session, every ART massage that makes me cry, every muay thai session, it’s all worth it. At the end of the day, if I want to smile, I’ll buy a car. That’s how I’m happy. I did, I bought one on the way back from Survivor Series in Toronto because I worked my ass off.”

“Nobody get me wrong when I say I’ve been miserable throughout this, but I am. I’m bloated 24 hours a day. I’m stressed 24 hours a day. I don’t sleep, but it’s a small price to pay. Why do you think I wore a coat every time at first when I got back? The answer is I still had to train. I believe it was much more important for me to be aesthetically what I was like in the past as opposed to a dude who could run around for 20 minutes. That ain’t me.”

Based on these comments, it certainly solidifies even more what will happen at WrestleMania. Makes it even less of a surprise as to what to expect. Shame really.
