WWE SmackDown 28/03/17 Five Predictions

With less than a week until WrestleMania 33 comes from the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. The matches and layout of the show are pretty much set in stone. But in order to achieve the maximum potential from each of the matches (basically the highest payoff), there are several key things which need to happen on WWE SmackDown tonight in Richmond, Virginia.. Here is the WWE SmackDown 28/03/17 Five Predictions…

1. Shane and AJ

Their match is certainly set in stone for WrestleMania, but there is absolutely no way that it can be in its current form. This match, due to what has happened needs to have a stipulation of some description added to it. Last Man Standing has a nice ring to it (but please no Parking Lot Brawl)…

2. Tag Division

The sorry state of the SmackDown Live tag team division is reflected in its exclusion from the WrestleMania card. Something needs to happen on SmackDown Live to regenerate interest in the division. The potential is there, it just needs to be captivated.

3. Maryse

At WrestleMania, this will mark the return of Maryse to the ring after a multi-year hiatus. Don’t be surprised if she steps into the ring on SmackDown this week, and has a squash match with a local competitor. This will allow the WWE to exhume her dominance before Sunday.

4. IC Title

The WWE Intercontinental Championship match between Baron Corbin and Dean Ambrose will be interesting. But with the way their feud has played out, a normal match would restrict them to much. Expect a stipulation to be added to the match, but what it will be could be interesting.

5. Empty Slot

The WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship currently has five competitors for WrestleMania. There is a high possibility that a sixth female will be confirmed for the match on Sunday. But who remains a mystery. Don’t expect it to be revealed on SmackDown, wait for the surprise of Sunday.
