Backstage News on Bayley vs Charlotte

This past Sunday at WWE Roadblock, we saw Charlotte Flair become a four time WWE RAW Women’s Champion. She survived the gruesome 30-minute Ironman match with Sasha Banks. This past Monday Night on RAW in Columbus, Ohio we saw the new champion make a bold statement. No female in the WWE is on her level. Ultimately, this prompted the appearance of Bayley. After quickly challenging Charlotte, she then quickly defeated her in a non-title match. This feud of Bayley vs Charlotte is now expected to be the feud for the RAW female division heading into WrestleMania 33 in April.

But there is more to this story than meets the eye. Ultimately, F4Online is reporting that the WWE has wanted to do a feud of Bayley vs Charlotte for a while, but ultimately decided to hold it off. The reason being so that the feud could culminate at WrestleMania 33 where the payoff would be much greater. It is heavily speculated that their initial match will take place inside the Alamodome at Royal Rumble 2017, with their culmination taking place in Orlando, Florida.

Nonetheless, there is also speculation that WWE officials are much more behind Bayley than they were with Sasha Banks. Vince himself was reportedly not high on Sasha as it was, but the general consensus is that Bayley is much more of a babyface than Sasha. Ultimately, this paved the way to Sasha having a short championship reign. Charlotte is seen as being the superior heel out of the trio, and her money based feud of the future is ultimately with Bayley. Interesting, but possibly true. This could be interesting going into 2017.

What do you think of WWE booking logic for Bayley vs Charlotte? We’d love to know what you think!
