Latest on Goldberg WWE Status

On March 14 2004, Bill Goldberg departed the WWE following the events of WrestleMania XX. He quietly retired, and wasn’t expected to step foot in a wrestling ring again. But 12 years later, he made his in-ring return on 20th November 2016. He defeated “The Beast” Brock Lesnar in under two minutes. This was ultimately expected to be a one-time deal. After this, he would quickly and quietly disappear off into the sunset once again. However, it has now emerged that this may not be the case…

It has being reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet, that even before he obliterated Brock Lesnar in one of the most confusing squash matches ever. That Goldberg’s journey with the WWE is set to continue into 2017, as he his now scheduled to take part in the Royal Rumble. But after that it remains to be seen. Whether Goldberg is heading to Orlando, Florida inside the Camping World Stadium for WrestleMania 33 is still unknown. There is a possibility that there could be another match with Brock down the line, but what that would achieve is up for deliberation.

But Goldberg taking part in the Royal Rumble makes perfect sense for the WWE from a business perspective. As we have talked about on here, the Royal Rumble 2017 is returning The Alamodome. A 60,000+ capacity venue. And WWE will need to book the heck out of this show in order for it to sellout (get your tickets right here). So with Goldberg pretty much confirmed, and The Undertaker heavily rumored to be competing at the show it is quickly becoming star filled.

What lies in Goldberg’s path between now and the Royal Rumble remains to be seen. He is confirmed to be on WWE Monday Night RAW from Toronto on 21st November 2016. Hopefully, more of Goldberg WWE Status will come to light.

What do you think about the heavily speculated Goldberg WWE Status? We’d love to know what you think!
