WWE SmackDown Live Results 27/09/16

With only two weeks to go until the stars of SmackDown Live descend on the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California for No Mercy 2016. This week they invade the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio with SmackDown Live GM Daniel Bryan already outlining the main event. In a rematch from Backlash, Dean Ambrose gets the chance to get the WWE World Championship back as he faces AJ Styles – but will John Cena play a role in the main events outcome? And with their feud intensifying, will Nikki Bella seek some retribution against Carmella? Here is this weeks SmackDown Live Results 27/09/16…

1. The Ascension and The Usos defeated American Alpha, Heath Slater, and Rhyno. The heels pick up the win after Jimmy Uso made Heath Slater tap out with a Tequila Sunrise.

2. Carmella and Natalya defeated Nikki Bella and Naomi. After being on the receiving end of some brutal strikes in the corner, Carmella snuck up and got the roll-up victory on Nikki.

— The next segment was The Miz’s homecoming. His parents are in the crowd, as are Dolph Ziggler’s. He tells Ziggler’s parents that this must be hard on them, as they created a world class elite level loser. Ziggler came out to break up the party and defend his un-amused parents. Ziggler challenged the Miz to a Title vs. Career match. He says he won’t take a sabbatical or go to NXT, he’ll be put out of his misery and done with WWE forever. The Miz accepted.

— Becky Lynch started to make her entrance, but before the smoke machines could clear she was attacked by Alexa Bliss. Bliss beat her down, then threw Lynch’s own title belt at her yelling that SHE deserves it, not Becky.

3. WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: AJ Styles (c) defeated Dean Ambrose. After being on commentary, Cena tried to get in the ring but was stopped by the referee. This meant the referee missed a Dean Ambrose roll-up. Ambrose then hit Cena in response, allowing Styles to roll him up with a handful of jeans for the pin. Cena then Attitudinally Adjusted both of them, posing with the belt above his head to close the show.
