Eva Marie & Paige Suspension End
With a participation in a six-woman tag team match announced for SummerSlam, it came as a surprise when it was announced that Eva Marie was suspended. But at the same time, it was announced that the former 3-time WWE Diva’s Champion Paige had also being suspended. They were both suspended along with Alberto Del Rio, who has since left the company and the 30-day period since their initial suspension has now passed. Both ladies are expected to return to television any day now. Eva Marie can be expected to return to the SmackDown Live Brand as before; following Paige likely to the RAW Brand. But what can we possibly expect for Eva Marie & Paige on their return?
As we recently discussed, things have being relatively quite for Paige since her feud with Charlotte concluded at Survivor Series last year. Whilst she may have being drafted to RAW, she hasn’t being seen on the show since the Brand Split. An injury immediately followed by her suspension. But whilst it has being reported by 411Mania.com that the WWE were exceptionally close to releasing Paige at the time of her suspension, she is now expected to make her return to television. But what does this mean in terms for her future as a television character, it certainly remains to be seen. 2016 has being a very quiet year for her. Where they take her from here could be an interesting journey. If she does ultimately end up on the RAW Brand, the opponents such as Bayley and Sasha Banks could be an interesting journey.
Whereas with Eva Marie, when she was suspended, she was in her infancy as a character on SmackDown Live with numerous excuses being used for her failing to compete – such as a wardrobe malfunction or traffic issues. But she has clearly displayed her strength within the entertainment world throughout her time. And as reported by Inquisir, the WWE are likely to continue pushing her massively upon her return because there is a real benefit for them. But on a separate note, whether you are a fan of Eva or not, she has a unique look which can make her identifiable within the SmackDown Live roster. With the SmackDown Women’s Championship now in circulation, this is certainly time for her to reach for the brass rings and run with it.
What do you think the WWE should do with Eva Marie and Paige on their returns? We’d love to know what you think!
