First 3 Matches Confirmed; Current Clash of Champions 2016 Card

Clash of Champions 2016

Current Clash of Champions 2016 Card

Over the weekend, we here at WDD bought you the speculated WWE Clash of Champions 2016 Card. Following the events of RAW this past week from Kansas City, Missouri, the first three matches for the card have officially being confirmed. The matches scheduled to take place thus far are…

WWE Universal Championship

Kevin Owens (c) vs. Seth Rollins

WWE Women’s Championship

Charlotte (c) vs. Sasha Banks

WWE Tag Team Championship

The New Day (c) vs. The Club

The main event for the WWE Universal Championship is pretty much confirmed now, bar one factor. WWE RAW General Manager Mick Foley has announced that next week on RAW, Kevin Owens will go one-on-one with Roman Reigns. If Reigns is victorious, then the main event at Clash of Champions will be made into a Triple Threat match. Surprising actions by the GM Mick Foley, who is clearly disgruntled following the return of Triple H on RAW last week. Only time will tell how this developing situation plays out to the WWE Universe.

Surprisingly at this moment, Bayley no longer seems to be in the championship picture for Clash of Champions. This can possible be attributed to the return of Sasha Banks this past week on RAW. After declaring she had some bad news (ah, Bad New Barrett), she took out Dana Brooke before declaring she is coming for her championship once again. She is now scheduled to go one-on-one with Charlotte for the WWE Women’s Championship live on the WWE Network from Indianapolis, Indiana.

What else happens at Clash of Champions is still a little bit of a mystery. There are countless superstars and opportunities currently without a match on the card. However, this is likely to avoid overshadowing the Blue Brand’s Backlash event this Sunday. After this, surely it can be expected that it will be full steam ahead in hyping Clash of Champions.
