WWE Monday Night RAW Preview 29th Results 2016

Last week on RAW, there was the devastating fallout from SummerSlam. Whilst he may have being able to walk out the WWE Universal Champion, Finn Balor suffered a devastating shoulder injury forcing him to relinquish the championship. Now, a new champion will be declared, but who – Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Big Cass or Kevin Owens? And, what about the developing situation between Brock Lesnar and Shane McMahon – will RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon be the level-headed figure in this situation? This weeks edition of Monday Night RAW comes from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. Here is this weeks WWE Monday Night RAW Results 29th August 2016…

— The show opened with Corey Graves in the ring with the WWE Universal Championship and the four participants, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Big Cass and Kevin Owens to determine the new champion. Seth Rollins claimed to be the favorite whilst Owens insulted the others. Cass said he is not the underdog because size does matter. Reigns stayed silent until Rollins says it always come down to Rollins versus Reigns, with Rollins always being victorious. Instead of speaking, Reigns starts a brawl, clearing the ring.

1. Chris Jericho defeated Neville. Jericho countered a hurricanrana into the Lion Tamer version of the Walls of Jericho for the victory.

— Backstage, Bayley meets The New Day. Dana Brooke then shows insulting Bayley, which led to a challenge from The New Day and Bayley, challenging Dana and The Club.

2. Nia Jax defeated Hyan (Local Wrestler). 

3. Sami Zayn defeated Jinder Mahal.

4. Bayley and The New Day defeated Dana Brooke, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. Charlotte was on commentary throughout this match. Bayley got the vidtory with a Bayley-to-Belly on Dana.

5. Best of Seven Series – Match 2: Sheamus defeated Cesaro. Cesaro got backdropped into the ringpost on the outside, allowing Sheamus to apply the Cloverleaf for the victory, making the overall score 2-0.

6. Braun Strowman defeated Americo (Local Wrestler).

— Stephanie McMahon demanded Paul Heyman come to the ring to apologize for Brock’s actions at SummerSlam. Heyman paid Lesnar’s fine as they both threatened each other. Heyman apologized, with Stephanie accepting his apology before storming out.

7. Darren Young defeated Titus O’Neil. After the match, O’Neil beat down both Young and Bob Backlund.

8. Fatal 4-Way Match For The WWE Universal Championship: Kevin Owens defeated Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Big Cass. Big Cass was eliminated first by Owens. Reigns was eliminated after Triple H returned to Pedigree him on the floor and helped Rollins pin him. Triple H then turned on Rollins and Pedigreed him. This allowed Owens to get the pin and become the WWE Universal Champion.
