On Thursday WWE womens division wrestler Eva Marie was suspended for violating the WWE wellness policy. She joined Paige and Alberto Del Dio who were suspended the previous day. All three superstars were suspended for 30 days.
Reports by TMZ suggest that Eva Marie tested positive for Adderall; the same drug that Roman Reigns tested positive back in June.
Eva Marie recently posted a statement on the suspension, saying that she is disappointed that not handing in paper work in a timely matter was the cause.
“I am disappointed that this suspension has occurred, yet understand and respect that WWE upholds their Wellness Policy to the letter and won’t compromise on its integrity. I violated policy by not turning in portions of required paperwork in the time frame WWE Medical deemed timely. I look forward to my return!”
Naturally the firery red head is disappointed; rules are rules and guidelines are placed for a reason. Rey Mysterio was suspended but relieved when he had paperwork for the drug. However this was not presented in a timely matter, thus the suspensiom went public.
Eva Marie had looked promising in her arrogant heel persona on Smackdown. Time will tell how she will slot back into Smackdowns womens division.
