Updated Battleground 2016 Lineup

Following the events of this past week on RAW, things are now being to look more in place for Battleground from the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. We currently have four matches announced for the card, with more expected to come in the coming weeks. But how the Brand Split on July 19 effects the lineup for the event remains to be seen. So, here is the current announced card for Battleground;

WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Dean Ambrose (c) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns

~

Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens

~

Becky Lynch vs. Natalya

~

Six-Man Tag Team Match

The Club: AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows vs. John Cena, Enzo Amore and Big Cass

The six-man tag team match, and the almost “grudge” match between Becky Lynch and Natalya where announced on this past week on RAW. What other matches are to be announced for the card remain to be seen. In the world of the WWE, a lot can happen in just over two weeks…Roman Reigns proved that recently. The feud continues to simmer between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. The mind games are always at the forefront of whatever they do with one another. They seem to have settled the odds for now, but who will get the next momentum of leverage. And what will Roman Reigns have to say when he makes his return at Battleground?

On a very patriotic edition of RAW, former friends now bitter enemies Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens were forced to team with one another. But this has done nothing to settle the bad blood between the pair ahead of their long awaited grudge match. Will they finally be able to settle the score once and for? John Cena has found a pair of allies in the form of Enzo and Cass in his quest to bring down The Shield. With the odds finally evened, with the leader of the C-Nation and his new found allies be able to bring down The Club once and for all? And since having a personality transplant at Money in the Bank, what lengths will Natalya be prepared to go to in order to secure a win over Becky Lynch?

What other matches would you like to be set out for Battleground? Is there something really obvious you want to see or have you got something else in mind? We’d love to know what you think!
