Two Matches Added to Money in the Bank 2016 Card

Following the conclusion of Extreme Rules this past weekend, we are now on the road to the tradition known as Money in the Bank. Following the events of this past Monday on RAW, we now have one fully confirmed match for the card as well as one match which is awaiting the announcement of possibly two more participants. The matches which have being announced for the event thus far are as follows…

WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Roman Reigns (c) vs. Seth Rollins

Money in the Bank Ladder Match for a WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match Contract

Sami Zayn vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho vs. Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens vs. TBC vs. TBC

The match between Reigns and Rollins is a very long time in the making, as due to injuries or something else they have never had that anticipated one-on-one match with one another. The last time they were scheduled to face one another was last year at Survivor Series, but ultimately Seth suffered a devastating knee injury which prevented it from happening. With nearly two years of bad blood between the duo, this will surely be one of the most anticipated WWE World Heavyweight Championship matches in recent history.

The first five participants for the Money in the Bank Ladder match have officially being announced, featuring Sami Zayn, Dean Ambrose, Chris Jericho, Cesaro and Kevin Owens. The history of the MITB winner speaks for itself, there have being very little occasions when they have failed to cash in the opportunity successfully. The last man to achieve MITB glory was Sheamus last year at Survivor Series, before him was Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 31. There are apparently two more spots to be filled within this match, so only time will tell which two superstars will get their chance to ascend to the top of the WWE mountain…
