As soon as one problem was conquered in the form of AJ Styles, Roman Reigns was immediately faced with another problem in the form of his returning former team mate, Seth Rollins who made his much anticipated return following an injury. How will “The Guy” deal with the latest thorn in his championship reign and what does Seth Rollins have planned now he is back? Extreme Rules was a night full of surprises and change, including the allegiance of Dana Brooke and Charlotte what is next for the Superstars of the WWE as we begin the road to Money in the Bank. RAW Results 23rd May 2016

– The show opened with the returning Seth Rollins cutting a promo but he is quickly interrupted by Roman Reigns. Nonetheless, they are then both quickly interrupted by Shane McMahon who announces that at Money in the Bank they will face each other for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

1. Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Sami Zayn defeated Sheamus

– Backstage after the match, an exceptionally frustrated Sheamus beat up Apollo Crews.

2. The New Day defeated The Social Outcasts

New Day are in a celebratory mood, they present a birthday cake for Raw 1200th episode. Kofi runs around ringside threatening to throw the cake into the fans faces. Social Outcasts attack the New Day setting up the match. Heath Slater gets a cake in his face for his troubles.

3. Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Cesaro defeated The Miz

4. Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Chris Jericho defeated Apollo Crews

5. Big Cass defeated Bubba Ray Dudley

  • Big Cass reveals that Enzo Amore is back and ready. Enzo cuts one of his classic energised promos.

– WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte is shown telling Ric Flair that she no longer needs him and he is dead to her. Typical Flair, he cries.

6. Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Dean Ambrose defeated Dolph Ziggler

– Before the main event, Styles is shown with Gallows and Anderson telling them that whilst they are still “brothers”, they ultimately need to separate professionally. However, Gallows and Anderson tell him that they are no longer brothers or friends.

7. Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Kevin Owens defeated AJ Styles
