Latest on Nikki Bella Returning…

Since the inauguration of the WWE Diva’s Championship back in 2008, she remains the queen of the championship having held the title for the longest period with a total of 301 days, which began when she defeated AJ Lee at Survivor Series 2014 and ultimately lost her championship to Charlotte at Night of Champions 2015. After losing a rematch at Hell in a Cell in October, she quickly and quietly went on hiatus when it was revealed she required surgery for a neck injury she had sustained. However, a recent report by UPROXX.com has revealed that Nikki is ultimately hoping to make a comeback to the squared circle by either June or July this year. Whilst appearing in a live chat on Facebook to promote the forthcoming season finale of Total Divas, Nikki made the following statement;

“So as of now I’m hoping to make my comeback in the summer. In June or July is when I’ll get my final CAT scan on my neck and as long as my bone is fused in my neck that means that I could probably come back and wrestle and I cannot wait. So fingers crossed for me, June or July.” – Nikki Bella

Little was known about the injury at the time when it happened, but from recent episodes of Total Divas it appears that her powerful and domineering finisher “The Rack Attack” may not have ultimately helped, furthering the injury. It was only when a surgery video was revealed earlier this year that the severity of the injury became clear and it was in actual fact career threatening. However, determined as ever Nikki remains set on returning to the ring strong than ever putting fresh hope that we will one day be able to see The Bella Twins reunited following Brie going on an “extended hiatus” from the ring.

It is with great hope that we are able to see Nikki make a full and healthy return to the ring, because she has the opportunity to thrive even further within the Women’s Division and given it that glamorous, but slightly edgier approach which is needed. We here at Wrestling’s Dirty Deeds would like to wish Nikki the absolute best in her continuing recovery, and we look forward to seeing her return to the ring in the near future.
