The League of Nations Splitting Up?
They may have only being formed in the wake of Survivor Series last November, but the WWE is reportedly already considering breaking up this dynamic faction as it is apparently deemed a “failure” by WWE in a recent report by Inquisitr. This was then made more apparent, when Alberto Del Rio recently revealed in a Spanish interview with solowrestling.com the following;
Actually we won’t give anything else with the Wyatt family because there are many injuries within the company, we as a group have never worked very well, so we decided it would be better to separate us… it seems to me that Bray Wyatt is hurt, was injured on the tour, and all this is going to be nothing.
It could be argued that the League at times always appeared a rather disjointed combination, but in other ways they generated a lot of heat for themselves as a tag team which is something that can be quite difficult to achieve in a short amount of time. The disposal of Wade Barrett from the faction on RAW the night after WrestleMania 32 was ultimately the beginning of the end for them, but with their disbandment on the horizon it may explain why they were taken apart by Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley and Stone Cold in a ludicrous segment at WrestleMania.
Whilst the removal of Barrett can only fuel rumors that he plans to leave the company after his contract expires, then seems no other reason to disband The League because they haven’t being given the rightful opportunity to establish themselves over a period of time with the sort of feud that will place them on the map. If they were to end now, it would be a premature end to a faction which could ultimately be taken to our hearts like The New Day…except for the fact we hate them at the same time!
What do you think about The League of Nations splitting up, do you think they worked well as a faction or where they ultimately doomed to failure…we would love to know what you think!
