Latest on Bray Wyatt Return!
Just last week, it emerged that WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt had being injured at a WWE Live event in Milan, Italy in the early moments of his match with Roman Reigns. It is unclear on how the injury occurred, but it was significant enough for the match to be stopped and Wyatt to be aided to the backstage area. Described as a calf injury, exceptionally little was known about its severity or how long Wyatt could be out of action. But there is finally some news on this…and it is good news!
The injury is now rumored to be a straightforward muscle strain. This is very good news for the WWE. The injury won’t require any surgery with Wyatt able to make a return in around 4-6 weeks. There is every possibility that he could be healthy enough for Extreme Rules at the end of May but this is all dependent on how quickly he recovers.
Bray Wyatt has risen to the challenge in the WWE as the patriarch of The Wyatt Family. A character that could easily become stagnant or boring, he has continually managed to keep the character fresh and unique. He has had numerous high profile feuds in the WWE including The Undertaker, John Cena and Dean Ambrose to name but a few. There were quite a few disappointed faces this year when his rumored match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32 never came to fruition, unfortunately he and The Wyatt Family had to settle with being squashed by The Rock and John Cena in an interesting segment. Hopefully this match with Brock Lesnar will finally come to fruition at some point throughout the summer…SummerSlam has a very nice ring to it, don’t you think?
From all of us here at WDD, we’d like to wish Bray Wyatt a fully and speedy recovery…we look forward to seeing what he does next in the WWE Universe!
