WWE SmackDown Results 21st April 2016 LIVE Report

With more matches now confirmed for WWE Payback 2016, what will happen when the WWE European Tour returns to the O2 Arena in London, England following Monday Night RAW on Monday? Will Roman Reigns continue to go out of his way to silence the critics but how will he react to the ambush he received by Gallows and Anderson? With Shane McMahon scheduled to make his first SmackDown appearance in a number of years, what will he have to say to the WWE Universe a mere 10 days ahead of Payback. Here are the latest…

SmackDown Results 21st April 2016 LIVE

Main Event Spoilers

1. Apollo Crews vs Curits Axel

An interesting combination for the opening match, but makes sense given the outcome of the match on RAW which sees Apollo being successful in gaining the victory.

2. Summer Rae vs Alicia Fox

Alicia’s position in the WWE is very difficult to get your head around, and Summer is very difficult to take realistically. Ultimately, Summer picks up the victory in a forgettable woman’s match.

3. Kane and The Big Show vs Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman

I was beginning to wonder whether Kane had being released or not, given how little he has done in the past 6 months. Anyhow, in nothing surprising Kane and Show pick up the win.

SmackDown Spoilers

– The show opens up with the latest edition of Miz-TV with The Miz and Maryse. The guest is AJ Styles who explains that he had nothing to do with Gallows and Anderson’s attack on Roman Reigns on RAW before it is then revealed that tonight The Miz will clash one-on-one with AJ Styles. Also, the main event tonight will see Dean Ambrose and Sami Zayn vs Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens. However, up next is a WrestleMania 32 rematch as Kalisto collides once again with Ryback.

1. Ryback vs. Kalisto in a non-title match

Well, not a complete rematch of WrestleMania as rather annoyingly the US Championship is not on the line. But, with it being a non-title match this ultimately means that Ryback is able to pick up the win.

– Dolph Ziggler starts making his way to the ring, but much like RAW is quickly attacked by Baron Corbin and taken out with The End of Days.

2. The Miz vs. AJ Styles

This on paper appears to be something that could be an absolutely incredible match. The end of the match comes when Gallows and Anderson make an appearance to distract The Miz which allows AJ to nail him with the Springboard Forearm Strike for the victory.

– After the match, The Miz remains in the ring demanding his loss be looked into and how he is furious about how he is treated. He is interrupted by Shane McMahon, to whom Miz demands that he puts him at the top of the list before poking Shane. Shane quickly fires back and sends Miz flying

– Backstage, Gallows and Anderson reveal they aren’t teaming up with Styles but just out to make an impact. They will make their in-ring debut next week on RAW against The Usos.

3. Paige and Natalya vs. Tamina and Naomi

It is really nice to see Nattie being given an opportunity, and the chance to re-establish herself with some credibility. Both her and Paige are able to pick up the win with double sharpshooters.

4. R-Truth vs. Fandango with Special Guest Referee Goldust

So the story with Truth and Goldust is still going on apparently…I can think of a more creative solution for one and it doesn’t involve a storyline. Anyhow, Truth is soon able to pick up the win.

– Enzo and Cassidy make their way to the ring, but they are quickly interrupted by The Vaudevillains where both teams exchange a few words about their forthcoming tournament finals match at Payback.

– As a video vignette is aired for Primo and Epico, Shane McMahon announces that the dark match for the evening will see Baron Corbin vs. Dolph Ziggler and AJ Styles vs. Alberto Del Rio

5. Sami Zayn and Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho

This is a nice preview match for Payback where two singles matches will occur. This could have the potential to be a really good match but Zayn really needs a win. Anyhow, a little annoyingly Owens and Jericho are able to pick up the win.

Keep refreshing throughout the night, with updates being provided as the action occurs.

You won’t want to miss anything important will you?
