Neville Injury Update
This past week on RAW, the WWE injury list took a blow with the addition of Neville to it. During his match with Chris Jericho this past week, Neville suffered at the time what was thought to be a broken shin bone and ankle. This has now being confirmed by WWE.com that in reality he suffered a fractured ankle. At this time, it is expected that he will miss three months of action. This will obviously be devastating for him this close to WrestleMania. We here at WDD wish Neville a speedy and healthy recovery, and look forward to seeing what he gets up to on his return in a couple of months.
What is interesting about this is the situation which has emerged between Chris Jericho and referee Charles Robinson. When Jericho became aware of the injury, he called for the match to “go-home” which Robinson seemingly missed and thought the situation was a shoot. This ultimately led to an argument between Jericho and Robinson, the later admitted the situation was his fault and apologised for what happened.
You have to give Jericho credit here, he obviously realised the extent of the injury and did the right thing. Unfortunately some miscommunication between him and Robinson escalated into a heated argument. Robinson can’t be blamed either, we are only human and miscommunication happens…just usually not on such an elevated platform like Monday Night RAW.
Knowing what the WWE are like, they will probably exploit this situation into a storyline. So, remember that you heard it here first and watch this space!
