WWE Superstar Gives Notice?

It has recently emerged that current WWE superstar, Wade Barrett has reportedly given notice to the WWE that he will not be renewing his contract when it expires this summer. Despite being granted “Green Card” residency status in America, Barrett has being very unlucky when it comes to certain issues in America such as Visas but as of late has being plagued by an injury which has sidelined him from the ring since December, despite appearing on television weekly.

Barrett made his debut in the WWE in 2010 as part of The Nexus, and over the years has fulfilled a variety of roles on the roster which have led him to his current position within The League of Nations. Arguably, he is one of the most criminally underused performers on the roster in recent years. In what could have being a washout gimmick, he made it his own when he became Bad News Barrett and also King Barrett. It was at one point thought that he could be the first British wrestler to become the WWE Champion. He is an incredible talent, which featured in our list of possibilities for The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32. There is clearly a greater role he could be fulfilling within the roster, he just needs to have the backing of WWE Management in order to allow him to excel. He has worked endlessly for a number of years, and truly deserves his own individual moment to shine.

This is obviously an early development, with neither the WWE or Barrett elaborating on what is a rumor at this moment. We hope this turns out to be nothing more than a rumor because he has so much more to offer. We shall of course keep you posted if and when the situation does indeed change in coming weeks.

Update 17th February

Following the rumours breaking, many fans asked Wade on Twitter not to leave WWE. Due to the response Wade posted the following on Twitter, which hushed any rumours of his departure.
