WrestleMania 32 Possibilities…
Given the recent and shocking length of the injury list in the WWE, this brings a massive concern to WWE personal and fans alike. With WrestleMania 32 just over the horizon, what could this ultimately mean for the show? Lets be honest the situation is pretty dire. In order to successfully fill the AT&T Stadium it is really going to require some out of the box thinking creatively to make this show what we really needs to be…the greatest showcase of WWE talent, and moments that will last for a lifetime.
Laterally thinking this has the potential to be an excellent opportunity for those on the WWE roster who have remained injury free. This brings me on to a point I rose just the other day. For those who have being underused for neglected for a while, grab this opportunity with both hands and run full steam ahead with it. Now is your time to shine and cement your place on the card of WrestleMania 32. Whilst we may have some concern at the moment, I have a feeling this could be one of the most eagerly anticipated and unpredictable WrestleMania cards in history. So here is my ingenious solution to the WrestleMania 32 card.
Andre the Giant Battle Royal
In the past couple of years, this has become a WrestleMania tradition with past winners including Cesaro and The Big Show but the winner of this years needs to use the opportunity of this match to propel themselves forward. With the thinned out nature of the roster at the moment means that “valuable” talents cannot be wasted in this match. Therefore, my suggestion for this match is to utilise a combination of past and present stars in this match to thicken it out. I know it involves bringing “part-timers” to WrestleMania. My theory is they could be used as enhancement talent to push the younger talent. For this, I am thinking along the lines of Greg Valentine or Tito Santana. Firstly, it would create a nice feel good moment seeing those from yesterday against those of today. More importantly though, it could give those in the present the opportunity to springboard themselves forward using another ones legacy.
WWE Intercontinental Championship
A logical solution for this match is for Dean Ambrose to face off against Chris Jericho. These two already have a backstory from Night of Champions 2015. Therefore it only seems right that they continue to build upon this. Given the abilities of these two, they need to have an absolute beast of a wrestling match. This is why I propose a 30-Minute Iron Man match. This could be amazing as they would have the time to develop the match and let the result implode. For Ambrose, this could be the next bit of the push he needs. Whereas Jericho is able to showcase himself as well as passing the torch. This match is something that has the potential to be one of the greatest WrestleMania matches ever.
WWE Diva’s Championship
Given the recent heel turn from Charlotte plus the injuries for Sasha Banks and Nikki Bella some creativity is needed. Therefore, I propose a Diva’s Championship Gauntlet match with approximately 6 competitors. This gives the WWE a unique opportunity to spice things up for the Diva’s, which have sadly become a bit lackluster. It also stacks the odds more against the champion and makes her look dominant within her division should she ultimately be successful. It could also have the same effect for a Diva potentially capturing the championship.
WWE Tag Team Championship
For this match, I propose a Fatal 4 Way TLC match. The New Day would defend the titles against The Dudley Boyz, The Wyatt Family (Luke Harper and Erick Rowan) and The Usos. This could potentially be one of the most memorable matches on the card. But give each member of the team an opportunity to shine. Plus, it would potentially give the WWE a chance to showcase their Tag Team division. Thus giving it some of the exposure it desperately needs.
I really think this match could really be a career defining moment for Owens. I cannot think logically how it would be built up though. The only logical solution would be to have something happened at the Royal Rumble. The issue being here, it would require an appearance by Taker. The Deadman has slowed down his in-ring work in the past few years. However, his style could really work well with Owens. They could have a fantastic match. Even more so if Owens is portrayed in such a dominant light. Win or lose, it doesn’t affect him and his momentum continues to grow.
Goldust versus Stardust
These two brothers haven’t had the match their characters need. Therefore I’d propose for this match the stipulation being paint versus paint. These two know each other very well and could produce something really interesting. As whilst I would ideally like Stardust to be successful, I actually think he is one of those stars who could really benefit from the current injury situation. But to be taken seriously Stardust would need to revert back to his original, Cody Rhodes gimmick. This is because he stands a greater chance of being taken seriously as the future.
Brock Lesnar versus Bray Wyatt
This could be a really interesting contest, because it could be a complete contrast in styles but their characterization would be unique to see interacting with one another. Again, I wouldn’t be sure how to bring these two together, but I’d really like to see almost a shock upset with Bray gaining the victory after an exceptionally hard fought contest. Logically and most compelling, no one would see it coming.
WWE United States Championship
Here, I would have Alberto Del Rio going out to show he is better than John Cena. In the weeks leading up to the event have a series of Open Challenges culminating in an Open Challenge at WrestleMania against an unannounced opponent. For my advocacy of him, I’d love to see Damien Sandow answer the challenge. For the ultimate shock value, I’d have Del Rio lose the championship, as his character is now in a position he doesn’t need the championship. Sandow on the other hand, could really benefit and put him in the position of elevating him further.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Logically, it makes sense for Roman Reigns to defend the WWE Championship against Triple H. Whilst I find it interesting, Triple H has not competed since WrestleMania last year. Therefore it makes it difficult for me to justify the reasoning for him being in the championship match. Therefore, I would propose adding at least two or three more superstars. This could enhance the ongoing story to stake the deck against Roman Reigns. My logical choices being Sheamus, Rusev and Wade Barrett (should he be recovered in time). This could be a really interesting match and could be made more interesting should an unlikely winner be crowned. However, it could be made more interesting with an unlikely allegiance come to the aid of Reigns to help him retain.
Whilst Dolph Ziggler or Jack Swagger aren’t included in any of these matches, I see them all competing in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. but with for me, Ziggler and Swagger co-winning the match (similar to the 1994 Royal Rumble). The two would later meet in a one-on-one match to determine the winner of the match, which could spearhead both men in different directions. But, this is a perfect opportunity for some people go and show what they can do and prove themselves as the faces of the WWE going into the summer. At this point those on the injury list make their return, we’d have have an action packed roster which could deliver some incredible feuds and events in the later part of 2016 and heading into 2017. If booked correctly, WWE could easily set themselves with enough momentum to go to WrestleMania 33!
What do you think of my possibilities outlined for WrestleMania 32. Do you think the card would work or what would you change. What else would you incorporate on the card…we’d love to know what you think!
