Following the chaotic Royal Rumble event this past Sunday, we step into the Fastlane to Wrestlemania with a stop in Cleveland, Ohio for WWE Fastlane. On this past week on Raw, Stephanie McMahon made the announcement that a Triple Threat match will take place to see who will face the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H at Wrestlemania 32.
This past Sunday, Roman Reigns was forced to defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against 29 other men in the Royal Rumble match. With odds stacked against him, Reigns started at number 1. Half way through the match, under Vince McMahon, the League of Nations struck Reigns sending the champion through the announce table. As Reigns went to the back, Brock Lesnar and Dean Ambrose entered the match.
A dominant Brock Lesnar eliminated several men, however was attacked and eliminated by the Wyatt Family. Following an impressive last Man Standing match at the Royal Rumble, Dean Ambrose made it to the final 4; Sheamus, Triple H, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. Reigns eliminated Sheamus, before HHH threw Reigns over the top rope. Despite the fire inside Dean Ambrose, he wasn’t able to overcome the fresh Triple H who clinched his 14th World Heavyweight title.
On Raw, Stephanie McMahon announced that at WWE Fastlane on 21st February, will see Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar go head to head; with the winner securing a main event slot against Triple H for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania.
The match itself will be brilliant; having Dean Ambrose in the match is brilliant and a chance for him to main event a PPV once again. However, it is incredibly obvious that Roman Reigns will walk out as victor to face Triple H at Wrestlemania 32.
