Brad Maddox released by WWE
It has today being announced on WWE.com, that WWE Superstar Brad Maddox has being released from his contract. In a statement, WWE outlined;
WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstar Brad Maddox as of Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015. WWE wishes Maddox the best in all of his future endeavors.
Maddox rose to prominence in the WWE in 2012, as a bogus referee who helped then WWE Champion CM Punk retain his championship against Ryback at the 2012 Hell in a Cell before later becoming RAW Managing Supervisor in 2013, forming a thoroughly enjoyable onscreen partnership with Vickie Guerrero before later becoming RAW General Manager following her firing thanks to a WWE App vote. He remained in the role until May 2014, when he was relieved of his duties by The Authority and disappeared from television for the remainder of the year, working house shows as a wrestler. He made two brief returns to television in 2015, but remained virtually on the house show scene, competing with a couple of different names until his departure was today announced.
Maddox, love him or hate him brought us some memorable moments that certainly livened up a lackluster period of WWE, and his partnership with Vickie Guerrero will be remembered for years to come. We here at Wrestling’s Dirty Deeds wish him well outside of the WWE and look forward to seeing what he does next.
