WWE Opinion: 5 DVD’s WWE Need To Release

WWE Home Video have produced some incredible DVD’s over the years, in particular within the past three years. Stone Cold, CM Punk, Sting, Paul Heyman, Mick Foley and Triple H‘s recent documentaries have been excellent. We are set for some interesting . Within its huge catalogue of DVD’s there is always room for more, so below I propose five DVD idea’s that WWE should consider releasing.

Undertaker Documentary

Undertaker has been involved in various WWE DVD’s over the years, most recently a compilation of all of Undertaker’s 20-0 Wrestlemania matches. My personal favourite Undertaker DVD is Tombstone, showcasing his best matches in his career. As the Undertaker begins to wind down the end of his career, this only begs the question, Undertaker deserves a career respective documentary to the level that CM Punk, Stone Cold and Triple H received. From my memory, the only interview based Undertaker DVD was “Undertaker – This Is My Yard”. Whilst for its time it was an incredible documentary and actually interviewed Undertaker, a refresh documentary would be very well received.

The Rise And Fall Of The Miz

Let’s face it, The Miz has been in the WWE for 11 years and has been on a remarkable journey. Starting off as a competitor on season 4 of Tough Enough, The Miz overcame the odds and the perceived status of reality star, to become WWE champion. Even main eventing Wrestlemania 27. The Miz is one of the hardest working stars in WWE, recently being overshadowed and underutilised. A documentary on his journey from MTV through to WWE champion is something that would be interesting to watch.

Top 25 WWE Divas Of All Time

One thing that is severely lacking from the DVD collection are Diva DVD’s with the last Diva DVD was released back in 2006. So a Diva’s DVD is long overdue. A top 25 diva countdown is a great way to showcase and profile all the influential divas in WWE’s history. Who will make number 1? Trish Stratus or Lita?

The Best Of Live In The UK

As fellow Brit, I am slightly biased towards this DVD, however The UK has hosted a huge list of incredible wrestling matches since the first event The Battle Royal at The Albert Hall. In the late 90’s through to 2003, WWE hosted UK only PPV’s and in 2004 started to host Raw and Smackdown live from the UK. So there is easily enough to make a very interesting 2 disc complication. To name a few Bulldog vs Bret Hart, Bulldog vs Shawn Michaels, Michaels vs John Cena, The Shield vs Kane, Daniel Bryan & Undertaker. Who else can forget Viscera’s date with Trish or Santino’s teatime with Sheamus.

The Future Is NXT

NXT has become one of the weekly must see WWE TV shows. Their Takeover shows are quickly becoming the best shows produced by WWE. Alot of the matches on NXT have been phenomenal. Cesaro vs Sami Zayn’s series of matches are match of the year contenders, the huge rise in the women’s division; Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn and so many more. An NXT DVD will not only help showcase those wrestlers on a new scale, it will etch new legends of our business into.

Are any of these DVD’s of interest to you? If not what releases would you like to see?
