WWE Preview: Hell in a Cell 2015 Match Predictions

We are now less than a week away from seventh incarnation of WWE Hell in a Cell event, which will take place on Sunday 25 October 2015 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. It is time to build the hype for the show and preview what we can and would like to expect from this show. We are Wrestling’s Dirty Deeds and this is the opinion that matters:

  • Hell in a Cell: The Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar
    • DAVE: Unfortunately, I don’t have very high expectations for this match because their recent matches at SummerSlam 2015 and WrestleMania XXX were quite poor in my opinion. Brock needs to be reestablished as a monster in this match and destroy The Undertaker quickly and decisively but I can’t see it happening. Brock needs to win, but again I can’t see it happening.
    • KEV: Since beating the Undertaker at Wrestlemania, Brock has been the most dominant guy for the past 18 months; expect him to win the rubber match. Brock is the future of the WWE for the next few years where are the Undertakers days are numbered. No brainer for me Brock to win by suplex city
    • LUCAS: I am in two minds for this match, it will either be great or disappointing. I loved their No Mercy 2002 match; brutality which raised Lesnar to new heights. Taker took to desperate measures to get the better of the Beast; it only makes sense for Lesnar to win in brutal fashion.
  • Hell in s Cell: Bray Wyatt vs Roman Reigns
    • DAVE: This has to be the final chapter for these two men, but I’d love to see Bray pick up the win because he really needs a good, strong victory to elevate whilst Reigns needs to be showcased in a way he looks good. I have high expectations for this match, given their other battles but we’ll have to wait and see.
    • KEV: This for me is the main event, first off I want to say I hope this is the final chapter in this feud but with survivor series coming up I expect an elimination match at Survivor Series. This match has all the makings of being a classic, both men can put their bodies on the line, we all can presume that Ambrose, Braun and Harper and Rowan will somehow get involved. A loss to Reigns wouldn’t do harm where as a loss for bray will make him look like a jobber for anyone that WWE are going to push. His record on PPV is not very good but with the Hell in a Cell match anything can happen and I think Bray to win by interference.
    • LUCAS: Now this is how you should end a feud, inside Hell In A Cell. This hopefully will be the last match between the two and appears like it should be a very good match. Roman could do with the victory to help project him back up the pecking order. I do predict that Roman will spear Bray through the cage!
  • WWE Divas Championship: Charlotte (c) vs Nikki Bella
    • DAVE: Sadly, been there seen that with this match – it would have made so much more sense to add something else to the match, another dimension. WWE are really missing a beat in my opinion by not incorporating Paige, she has been on fire since Night of Champions but then seemingly forgotten. I’ll sit and watch the match until the first reference of Ric Flair and John Cena occurs, then I’ll throw my laptop across the room…
    • KEV: For me Paige nailed it on the head these two women are here because of their dad and husband not there ring ability. The divas division has so many good performers that deserve the title more than both. I will be fast forwarding but Charlotte to retain
    • LUCAS: This is a standard title rematch clause which is easy booking in my opinion. Paige should have been involved. None-the-less, they Night Of Champions match was surprising and hope to see a repeat and more. Charlotte will retain.
  • WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs Demon Kane
    • DAVE: Given the build-up to this feud, I personally think it would have made more sense for it to be an Ambulance or Stretcher match but I enjoyed the build-up till the last couple of weeks when it became weak and flimsy again. Kane doesn’t need the title whereas Seth does, but it won’t do Kane’s character any credibility to lose to Seth but Seth needs a win…it is almost a no-win situation and one I’d have difficulty calling – unless a cash in takes place maybe?
    • KEV: You have to think that this will be Kane’s last run of matches. the build up has been quiet enjoyable, but with Nikki beating AJ Lees record I feel Seth is currently on a run to beat CM Punks record. So WWE are avoiding superstars to stop them damaging their reputation, I expect a rematch at survivor series. Seth to win by DQ or cheating
    • LUCAS: As against as I am for “Demon” Kane to return, I have enjoyed the split personality and story to this match. It makes no sense for Seth to lose the title to Kane; however he needs a clean win but this won’t happen against Demon Kane.
  • WWE Tag Team Championship: The New Day (c) vs The Dudley Boyz
    • DAVE: I personally feel that the Dudley’s should primarily be used to elevate the New Day further and get them over even more. Sadly, I feel The New Day are clearly outshining the Dudley Boyz in this feud, they were stale 10 years ago and nothing has really changed for me. It is more WWE going for a nostalgic cheap pop.
    • KEV: I feel the WWE have played this feud the best it can, but for me the new day are on a completely different level. I hope that the new day continue to fly the tag team flag. I think it would damage the building of the new day and tag team division if a team from the WWF era come back and beat them.
    • LUCAS: I love the New Day; such brilliance, I am hoping that they retain. Yes it will be “cool” for the Dudley’s to win the title but it ruins the present division if they do. Just look at the drop of momentum when the New Age Outlaws won tag gold.
  • WWE Intercontinental Championship: Kevin Owens (c) vs Ryback
    • DAVE: Kevin Owens needs to win this, end of story – he needs to look strong and continue his momentum building to show what he is really capable of. A loss for Ryback wouldn’t hurt him whereas a loss for Owens would. This match is a clear winner for me, Owens – he is the future and needs to focus on his growth to get to the next level.
    • KEV: I’ve really enjoyed this old school heavyweight vs heavyweight feud, every time I see ryback I get a more impressed; the crowd are really beginning to back the big guy. But with this being said, Owens is so hot right now and I feel WWE will keep his streak going and keep the strap on him even if it’s by DQ leading to a no DQ at survivor series.
    • LUCAS: Owens has been impressive since his debut, this realistically is just a rematch. Owens should pick up the win, with Ryback looking strong.
  • WWE United States Championship: John Cena (c) vs T.B.C
    • DAVE: I’d personally love to see this match as a Fatal 4 Way, or something along them lines with the likes of Dolph Ziggler, Cesaro, King Barrett or even Neville thrown into the mix. It is obvious that Cena has to lose the title, but ideally without taking the pin fall as this sets up a return match/feud with that person. Given a young gun the opportunity to shine!
    • KEV: Dolph Ziggler looks top of the list to beat Cena at Hell in a Cell, personally I would love to see Cesaro with the belt as he is wasted talent. But a big swerve ball could be if an NXT superstar can come in and win the title. Tyler breeze is schedule to move up soon but would fans take him seriously when he’s been used as a jobber at every takeover? One more name that I would love to chuck in the mix is Daniel Bryan, just imagine the crowd reaction.
    • LUCAS: It’s obvious that Cena will lose the title; hence a singles match is a bit predictable. WWE should go beyond and add at least two people to this match. Add that extra layer to the match for unpredictability. Ziggler is the obvious choice, but someone from NXT being involved will be epic; Sami Zayn by any chance?
